Pastor's Column:     The beauty of the lakes area is everything that I had been promised and more.  I gravitate toward the water whenever I allow my mind to wander and quite often follow up the thought with action.  What a refreshing way we have to live in the heat of the heartland.     We as a church, the body of Christ, have been water-washed and spirit-born through our baptism.  Wooed by our Creator into the stream of the life giving water of Jesus Christ we are refreshed by the spirit to love God and care for others as self.  In the caring that others find constricting we find liberation and new life.  What a blessed way to participate in creation wherever we find ourselves.     We have been promised the opportunity to be so much more than a building or a social club in giving ourselves over to care for each other and all of creation.  Following our hearts' desire we find ourselves again and again faithfully wandering into the immensity of acting wholly for God.  What a refreshing way to live into eternity.
